HORN, BLOOD, NATURAL RESINS FROM WASTE TO GRACE
This full moon, we invite you to Bioregion Institute to see, smell, and touch as we share our processes of mapping biomass resources in the region through the artistic research programme Bio Deep Map.
In the STRAWBERRY MOON Bio talk, Alexandre Bau and Siv Støldal present findings from a horn workshop which is part of Bio Deep Map, looking into binding agents from biomass and raw materials of animal origin. Come to our space for a fascinating look into the craft and history of animal-sourced binding agents! You’ll get a rare glimpse into our explorations of new bio-based binding agents from bone, hide, horn, seaweed, ox blood and resin, and how they can become part of malleable materials. Alexandre and Siv are both designers; Alexandre is also head of applied research at Bioregion Institute.
We hope you will join us for an inspiring evening speaking to all your senses, with a shared meal and strawberry-flavoured refreshments in honor of the Strawberry Moon!
